These assessments are for purposes of evaluating the gains in student content knowledge through your teaching of the related workshop materials/activities/discussions. Survey results will be kept confidential such that it will not be possible to link individual responses with any student's name. Results will be shared only as summarized group averages.
The assessments should be given before you have worked with the topic and shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes. Any accommodations may be made for special needs students just as you would for any other standardized assessment. An identical post-assessment for use later in the school year will be created in order to measure student gains in content understanding.
